Autumn Squirrel | Pyrography and Original Oil Painting

Autumn Squirrel - this is Flick he is happily harvesting and eating fallen acorns in this autumnal scene.

Vibrant colours depict the changing season in the leaves where they have fallen, the moss and fungi commonly seen in woodlands this time of year.

To be able to create these wonderful pieces of wood art as well as my oil paintings of wildlife brings me closer to nature and I feel that I know each animal that I work with.

As an artist i have two great passions, painting and the other passion in life is wood, and how it can be used without taking away its natural beauty.

This piece has been pyrographed and painted on a piece of live edge white soft wood, using oils for colour and then varnished.

The size is approximately 21cm x 29cm  at it widest points

Each piece comes ready to display and has a certificate of authenticity, signed and dated by Beth Wood.

I also create to order and complete commissions in any size, should you wish to have something simular, understandabily the woodbase will vary as it is a natural source.
